Review of
Radio beacons

Ausmar has all the necessary equipment to perform the correct revision of radio beacons. It complies with the current regulations and guarantees the correct verification of the radio beacon signal emission and its reception by satellite. Our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and our highly qualified technicians ensure a comprehensive overhaul service. In addition, we issue the relevant certificates, thus offering a complete guarantee that your beacon will function optimally in case of emergency.

The tests we perform in the radio beacon revision are as follows

Reprogramming:
We configure the beacon to ensure that it transmits the correct information, including ship identification and location. This is essential for rescue teams to receive accurate data.

Beacon signal check:
We verify that the signal emitted by the beacon is strong and clear, ensuring its reception by satellite systems. This ensures that the signal can be detected quickly in case of emergency.

Watertightness test:
We perform a watertightness test to ensure that the beacon is completely waterproof and will function properly in water. This is crucial for its performance in real sea conditions.

Hydrostatic replacement:
We replace the hydrostatic mechanism if necessary, ensuring that the beacon is automatically activated when submerged. This component is vital for automatic activation in emergency situations.

Battery replacement:
We replace the batteries to ensure that the beacon has sufficient power to operate in an emergency. Fresh batteries ensure that the device will operate for the time required for rescue.

MMSI application:
We manage the application for the Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI) number. This ensures that your beacon is correctly registered and can be quickly identified in case of activation. In addition, this identification makes it easier for rescue services to locate it.
